A couple of words about me and my journey.

Dmitriy Fedorov is a mix-engineer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer who lives and works in Moscow, Russia.

“My passion for music began at quite an early age. I did a lot of experiments: different records, studied and learned this fabulous science, learned to play various instruments. I always found something particularly musical in various noises that surrounded me. The first time I heard the noise of vinyl records was at the age of four, and I was completely enthralled by it. I liked this noise. I accelerated or stopped the record and watched the result.”

Later he decided to devote his life to music.

Initially a guitar player, Dmitriy began his career as a front man of instrumental rock projects. He has also his own music project Migration Period. In the theatre world, Dmitriy has written and produced music for a number of performances.

During the last few years Dmitriy has focused on mixing and producing. Throughout his career, one of Dmitriy’s notable strengths has been his ability to merge his experience as a multi-instrumentalist with the abilities of studio technologies and his knowledge of engineering. He achieves a desired sound while creating original sonic textures.

“I was born at the period of fusion of two technologies: analog and digital. I was inspired by warm analog sound, but at the same time I was attracted by mysteries and possibilities of digital sound. And I think that the best option is to find harmony between these two technologies and try to take and use the best from each one”.
